Pre-filled tax return form introduced in Italy: this might be a revolution

A strikingly good piece of news might be landing on the (bad) relationship between Italians and their tax return. Tax authorities are finally (starting 2015) activating the pre-filled tax return form. Inland revenues will make available to taxpayers the data it has in order to fill the tax returns, instead of (or aside of) using them in order to perform ex-post controls (–>here).
This new method should reasonably reduce drastically the risk of involuntary mismatch between tax returns and registers’ entries. And reasonably, in the long run, reduce mistaken tax claims.
